An integral part of our heritage, bread bears witness to our primary relationship with the land and the territory, from the very beginnings of agriculture. It is a staple food. Shared by many cultures, it reflects their particularities. A nutritious accompaniment, it is also symbolic: to lack bread is to lack everything. Considered as a concept, the ex-voto, which is what new generations dream of, complements the making of bread and its accompaniments to produce a set of sacred dishes to be enjoyed on a tablecloth. It questions taste and form, the quality of what is eaten and the ritual of sharing a meal. The aim of this workshop is to create a biscuit\/bread and its accompaniment designed in the manner of an ex-voto. The piece becomes sacred, an amulet, a lucky charm carrying a message. An integral part of our heritage, bread bears witness to our primary relationship with the land and the territory, from the very beginnings of agriculture. It is a staple food. Shared by many cultures, it reflects their particularities. A nutritious accompaniment, it is also symbolic: to lack bread is to lack everything. The aim of this workshop is to create a biscuit\/bread and its accompaniment designed in the manner of an ex-voto. The piece becomes sacred, an amulet, a lucky charm carrying a message.
